General Conditions
RESERVATIONS:
Important – make sure you make your reservations
early. Please contact your travel agent for this.
PAYMENTS:
To reserve your tour, a deposit of 25 % is
required. The balance is due no later than 6 weeks prior to departure.
NOTE!!! For reservations of tours to
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellation fees on land tours are applicable
in addition to any airline cancellation fees. For cancellations of reservations
up to 30 days prior to departure –
full refund less EUR 100 per person. For
cancellations received 29-15 days prior to departure, 25% cancellation fee of
the total cost of the tour will be charged. Cancellations received 14-2 days
prior to departure carry cancellation charges of 50 % of the total amount. In
case of cancellation within 48 hours of departure or absence, there will be no
refund.

REFUNDS:
If illness or other imperative reasons make it
necessary for a tour participant to withdraw from a tour after commencement of
land arrangements, a refund will be made for the unused portion of the tour
less a cancellation expense of €500 per person. No refund can be made for less
than 3 consecutive days of absence from the tour. The Tour Conductor must
certify all unused services in writing. As the costs of the tours are based on
group travel, no refund can be given for unused services such as sightseeing, bus
transportation or trains and ferries.
SWEDISH INCOMING
SERVICES OF SCANDINAVIA AB (henceforth called SIS) has the right to cancel any
tour up until 30 days prior to the date of departure of the tour, granting a
full refund of the money paid to SIS but NO compensation.
TRANSPORTATION:
By Scandinavian Airlines
System or any other IATA or ATC
carrier.
CHILDREN:
Children under the age of 12 will receive a
reduction of 25 % of the tour cost when sharing a room with their parents.
Children 12 years of age and over will pay full rates. Unaccompanied minors
under 15 years of age or children younger than 4 years of age will not be
accepted on the tour.
SERVICE
CHARGES AND TAXES:
All service charges and taxes at hotels are
included. Gratuities to the tour conductor and driver at the end of the tour
are customarily left at the discretion of the tour participants and are
therefore not included in the tour cost.
LUGGAGE:
The organizer will transport one piece of
luggage of normal size (60 x 80 x 35 cms in
dimension) per person due to the limited space and capacity of the buses. The
passenger according to what is established and mentioned in each tour program
will pay for excess luggage. Overnight flight bags may also be carried but must
remain in the passengers possession at all times. The piece of luggage of each
passenger shall not exceed 20 kilos
in weight. The passenger itself will pay for any excess weight and luggage. All
aerial transportation contracted by SIS has a limited luggage weight of 20
kilos per person. SIS is not responsible or liable for loss, damage or theft of
luggage and/or personal belongings, so please be sure to have adequate
insurance to cover loss, damage or theft.
ARRANGEMENTS:
The tour price includes SIS handling,
communications and operations charges in connection with the tours as
advertised. If a tour participant requests changes or additional arrangements,
such extra charges are at his/her own expense.
NOT
INCLUDED:
Passport, visa expenses, travel insurance,
beverages (wines, liquors, mineral waters and soft drinks) and personal items
such as laundry, room service, mini-bar, pay-tv at hotels, etc.
RATES:
EURO rates shown have been converted from
local currencies based on rate of exchange at the time of publishing the tours.
Changes in the exchange rate may affect the EURO rates without previous notice.
All rates published on our website or in print by travel agents are subject to
change without previous notice.
RESPONSIBILITY:
SIS and its associated or affiliated companies
act only as agents for hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, steamship
line owners, contractors and other suppliers providing accommodation, transportation
or other services. All coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts and
tickets issued by SIS, and associated of affiliated companies are issued
subject to tariffs, terms and conditions under which any accommodation,
transportation or other services whatsoever are provided by such hotels,
airlines, bus companies, railroads, steamship line owners, contractors and
others. By the acceptance of such tour membership and/or such coupons, exchange
orders, receipts, contracts and tickets, the tour participant agrees to these conditions
and also to that SIS and its associated or affiliated companies, shall not be
or become liable or responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person or
property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or
other services or resulting, directly or indirectly, from acts of God,
dangerous incidents at sea, fires, breakdowns in machinery or equipment, acts
of government or other authorities, de jure or de
facto, wars whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes,
riots, theft, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations
delays or cancellations or changes in itinerary or schedules, or from any
causes beyond the control of SIS and its associated or affiliated companies. SIS
will not be held responsible for any cost resulting from improper or
insufficient passports, visas, other documents, or any additional expense or
liabilities sustained or incurred by tour participants as a result of any of
the above mentioned causes. The full responsibility for the operation of the
vehicles used for these tours rests with the carriers and the law of the
country or countries of operation governs the liability of such carriers. All
suppliers have the reserved right to decline, accept or retain any person as
participant of these tours at any time, and a refund of unused land tour
services is limited by SIS, and its associated or affiliated companies’
liability should such person be required to depart the tour after its
commencement. The passenger contract in use by the airlines concerned when
issued shall constitute the sole contract between airlines and purchasers of
these tours and/or passenger. The above shall apply even if SIS and its
affiliates are considered to be subcontractors.
